1740 Early English Trade Gun

We just finished this one from one of my kits. Stocked in a nice piece of walnut. The stock was one of my seconds as the breech area was cut a little wide for about 6". I glued in a thin shim along the side of the channel and bedded the breech area to correct the problem. None of this can be seen until you remove the barrel. The brass mounts were all copied from original pieces in my collection. The barrel is 42" long, octagon to round in 20 gauge. (.62 smoothbore) The lock is by Davis. It is correctly marked with 'London' on the top of the barrel and View, Proof and barrel maker's stamps on the side flat.

Weight is 7 lbs. and the length of pull is 13 ".
