1st Model Pattern 1742

Brown Bess Musket

 in .75 caliber

I made this musket for a friend several years ago and he has decided to sell it now.

This is a custom made musket that started as a Track of the Wolf kit but was modified to be a correct Pattern 1742 version. The barrel is 46" and made by Colerain to the proper dimensions. The lock was a Rifle Shoppe casting set that I assembled and finished. The brass hardware is also from The Riffle Shoppe. The stock is walnut.

All of the metal and wood have the period correct markings for this pattern. The original is in the Colonial Williamsburg collection and I was able to handle it and this copy is, side by side, identical except for the age.

This gun is unfired and in new condition.

I generally have a 2-3 year wait on a custom musket like this and charge $3500, now you can get one faster and at a discount.
