off I have to apologize for all of the dust on the rifle
when I photographed it. I should have wiped the gun down.
This is a fine rifle made by Bob
Ambright. This one is well assembled and very beautifully
finished. It has been fired only to sight it in otherwise it
The large Siler lock
produces a nice shower of sparks. The barrel is a 38"
swamped 'A' weight Colerain in .40 caliber. Bob has inlet a
nice silver band at the breech. The stock is a presentation
grade maple with exceptional figure. The carving is mostly
incised with areas where it is slightly raised. It has about
a ¼" castoff to the butt for a
left hand shooter. Bob has made a nosecap that is filled
with pewter which adds just enough weight in the front to
make it very well balanced and hold on target nicely.
It is in excellent condition with an excellent bore.
All of the steel parts
including the lock and barrel are nicely browned.
It is hard to
find a nice left hand rifle
unless you custom order one and then have to wait for it.
Here is one of exceptional quality and style ready to ship
to a new owner.
Weight is 7 lbs 15 ozs. Pull is 13½".
