This is a very pretty little French
Fusil de Chase made in 2010 by Bob Ambright of Eagle River,
WI. It is numbered 44. It is lightly used and is in like new
The stock is a very nice piece of
cherry with lots of curl running through it and has a hand
rubbed oil finish. The lock is a large Siler. The barrel is
a Colerain A weight 38" long in 20 gauge. The steel parts
have been aged by a mild etching to give the parts a mottled
grey/silver patina. The only negative thing I can find is
that the guard and sideplate are not inlet as on an original
gun. They are tight to the wood with no gaps but the
sideplate is a bit thick and inletting it would improve the
appearance a bit. Overall it is very well made and the wood
to metal fit is excellent.
Weight is 7 lbs. Pull is 13¾".
