Original 1st Gen. Civilian 1877 Colt SAA

in .45LC / 7.5" barrel

Blackpowder Frame

With Colt Letter

Restored

This pistol was been professionally restored to like new condition about ten years ago. I was told by the owner that it has a NOS 7.5" barrel with a mint bore but not sure which generation the barrel is. The frame has been re-case colored and the rest of the metal has been reblued to Colt factory finish. The walnut grips are new replacement. The name R. Hays 2008 and the number 755 is stamped inside the grip frame. I believe this is the mark of the person who restored the gun. The cylinder number matches the internal frame and grip strap numbers. The cylinder times and locks up tight. Original 3 notch hammer. It comes with a letter from the Colt factory that states it was one of fifty sent to Winchester Arms Co. in October 1878. Not sure why Winchester ordered fifty of these pistols but it makes for an interesting provenance.

The pictures will tell you more.
