This is a very nice English fowler built by Dave Motto out of West Virginia.
From what I have heard, Dave is no longer building guns.
This gun starts off with a near presentation grade piece of curly walnut for the
stock. The pictures don't show how nice the grain is in this stock. The barrel
is by Getz and is 40" long in oct/round in 20 gauge. The lock is a Chamber's
English round face flint which is nicely engraved. The brass hardware are
standard castings with the buttplate and guard being engraved. The steel parts
have been nicely browned and there is a touch hole liner.
This gun has seen very little use, the stock is near mint with no dents or
scratches and the frizzen has very little wear.
Overall the fit and finish is exceptional and is one of the nicest guns by Dave
I have seen.
Weight is 7 lbs. 2 ozs. and the length of pull is 13
