pistol is new, unfired and in the box with papers. It is
made by Pietta of Italy and is a Model 1860 Colt Army style in .44
caliber. This one comes with an extra cylinder. This pistol
and extra cylinder retails for $330.
One of the most popular cap-and-ball, single-action
revolvers ever made, the 1860 Army .44 was a mainstay in the
Civil War as well as the weapon of choice for Texas
gunfighter John Wesley Hardin and other gunmen. Pietta's
replica 1860 Army .44-Caliber Black Powder Revolver boasts a
brass trigger guard, color case-hardened steel frame, round
barrel and walnut grips. There's also a naval battle scene
laser-engraved on the cylinder.
I have always been impressed with the quality of these
pistols for the price. I don't think the originals were much
better when new.
