This is a
pretty nice double made in England by Powell (might be
Howell, hard to read). The bores have been honed to
almost new condition. Neither appears to have a choke.
The rib is marked "Laminated Steel" and has a mid bead
as well as a front one. The locks are crisp and have
case colors still showing on the internal parts. The
left lock has a bit of pitting. It has
new nipples and would make a great shooter. The forend
has a few minor chips missing from the top edge. The
stock is in overall very good condition with no cracks
or repairs. The ramrod is a new replacement but well
done. The barrels have a little surface discoloring
here and there which is normal for the age. Overall this gun is in
very good condition and would make an excellent shooter.
The pictures can tell you more.
