This is nice example of a well designed Civil War period carbine.
The action is very tight with no pitting of the breech faces. Some case color is
still visible. The bore is excellent and is better than I can photograph, about
9+/10. The wood is excellent with some dents and dings from handling but no
cracks or splits. The cartouche is very clear. The action is crisp. Nice low
four digit serial number. This is the second best one I've had through here.
Overall a very clean, shootable gun and a great addition to your collection.
No FFL of C&R needed.
