Moravian School Rifle

by K. Moors in .58 caliber

Another exceptional rifle by Ken Moors of N.C.

This rifle is styled after one that might have came out of the Christian Springs shop near Nazareth, PA area and would date to just prior to the Revolution. The barrel is by Colerain and is a swamped 38" long in .58 caliber and has been nicely aged as well. The lock is a Chambers Early Germanic style. The gun is stocked on a nice piece of curly maple that has a hand rubbed oil finish and has been aged. The raised carving is well done. The mounts are all brass and have been aged. Very well balanced and points extremely well. The fit and finish is excellent. Always glad to get one of Ken's pieces for sale. He does exceptional work for a reasonable price.

This is a slightly used gun. I sold this one for Ken several years ago and the current owner has decided to part with it now. It has only had about 50 rounds fired out of it. Bore is still excellent.

Weight 8 lbs. 1 ozs. Pull is 14".
