Fancy Squirrel Rifle

by C. Smith in .32 caliber

This is a very nice, very slender rifle. The barrel is a Rice 3/4" straight barrel that is 42" long in .32 caliber. The lock is a small Siler that I assembled and tuned. The wood is a nice piece of curly maple with a cast pewter nosecap. The mounts are steel that have been aged to a dull grey color. The wrist has been checkered and small steel pins driven in between the lines. The inlays on the cheek are made from German silver. The balance point on the rifle is at the rear thimble which doesn't make it to front heavy to sight comfortably.

Weight 7 lbs. 8 ozs. Pull is 13".
