This is a nice very Lancaster rifle in the style of Henry Albright. It was made
by Curtis Allison and is lightly used.
This rifle is stocked in a piece of
plain maple that that is stained to a nice medium brown. The hardware is
brass that has a hand-polished satin finish and a natural patina through use.
The barrel is a swamped Rice, 44" long in
.45 caliber. There is a touch hole liner. The bore
is dusty but excellent condition. The lock is a Chamber's late Ketland.
The steel parts have a deep brown color. The sheet brass parts were made by
Curtis as well as the hand-made single set triggers. They must be set before
cocking the lock and firing. Overall excellent workmanship. Inlets are tight and well done. Holds
and balances very nicely.
Weight is 9 lbs. 3 oz. Pull is 13½".
