This is a very nice American style pistol by Ron Dietz of Wisconsin. It is an
exceptional piece of work for the price.
This pistol is stocked in a piece of
nice Birdseye maple that that is stained to a nice light brown which brings out
the figure in the wood. The hardware is
brass and has a hand-polished satin finish. The barrel is a tapered Rice,
12¾" long in
.45 caliber. This length makes it legal to hunt with in several states now. There is a touch hole liner. The lock is a
L&R Manton style.
The barrel has a deep brown color while the lock has a brilliant fire-blued
finish. The engraving is very well done and the decorative carving is crisp and
nicely styled. The front sight has been left high so the new owner can sight it
in to their taste. This is a new gun and has not been fired. Inlets are tight and well done. Holds
and balances very nicely.
Weight is 2 lbs. 9 oz.
