This is a very nice combo gun by Frank Bartlett. It is very high quality
with a lot of amazing wire work. This gun is lightly used and in very good
condition.
This gun is stocked in a piece of
very nice curly English walnut that that is finished to a nice light brown. The entire
stock is covered in very well executed silver wire work. The nosecap and ramrod
tip are black horn. The hardware is iron that was browned but is worn in some areas
to a nice grey color. The barrels are 38" long.
One is in .58 rifled and the other is 12 gauge smoothbore. The smoothbore barrel
has a whimsical grotesque face for the front sight. The rifled barrel has a dual
leaf express style rear sight. The 12 gauge also has a Colonial Arms threaded
choke in full. Other chokes can be purchased from the company
here. The bores of both barrels are in excellent condition. The lock is an
L&R late English style with waterproof pan. There are a touch hole liners in
both barrels. The large trigger guard bow is nice for gloved fingers in the
winter.
Overall it is in excellent condition. Inlets are very tight and well done. A gun of this quality would run almost double the
listed price today.
Weight is 8 lbs. 1 oz. Pull is 14".
