This is one of my kits that had a small chip come off at the left tang area. I have glued it back and is very hard to see. It is a sound repair and should pose no problem with recoil if the entire breech is fitted tightly. The repair will not show when stained and finished. This one comes with a Chambers round face Virginia lock and my custom Rice barrel. All the parts to assemble a complete gun and assembly instructions are included.
