I
don't usually sell imported guns but this one belongs to a club member and I
took pity I guess. It was made by Uberti in Italy and sold through Log Cabin
Shop in Lodi, Ohio. Uberti is known for quality guns. This is no exception. The
fit and finish is excellent and the quality of the parts are equal to American
made parts. The steel parts are deeply browned and the triggers will fire set or
unset. The barrel is 32" long with 2 wedges and a hook breech for easy cleaning
just like the originals. The nosecap is pewter. The wood appears to be a
European walnut. The stock does have a repaired crack on the bottom of the
forearm which is sound and I don't think will cause any future problems. If it
were mine, I would strip the finish and stain to a darker color to hide the
crack and give it a more aged look. The gun holds well even with a slightly long
pull. Perfect gun for someone with long arms.
Weight is 8 lbs. Pull is 15".
