Left Hand Mountain Rife

by Clay Smith in .50

This is a very nice custom rifle I made numbered 127 which dates it to 3/1987. It is used but still looks like new.

The stock is a piece of premium curly maple finished with a very smooth hand-rubbed finish. The lock is a large Siler made by Bud Siler before Chamber's took over. Mounts are iron with a deep blued finish. The straight G. R. Douglas barrel is 36" long and 1" across the flats in .50 caliber. Bore is excellent. It is blued and has a touch hole liner installed. The inlets are well done with no gaps between wood and metal.

Overall a well made and beautiful gun with good balance due to the shorter barrel. This would make a great hunting rifle.

Weight is 9 lbs. 5 ozs.    Pull is 13¾".
