This is a very nicely assembled Chamber's Lancaster kit rifle. I don't know who
made it but they did a very nice job. Nothing flashy, just a very typical late
18th century longrifle.
It is stocked in a moderately curly maple stained to a medium brown
and finished with a hand-rubbed oil finish. The lock is a Chamber's Golden Age
Germanic flintlock. The barrel is swamped 44" long,
1¹⁄₁₆" at the breech in .50 caliber.
There is a touch hole liner. The bore is excellent. The brass parts have been
polished to a nice satin and have some natural patina now. The steel parts are
lightly browned. The inlets are very tight and styling is very clean. Overall a very nice, well made rifle.
Weight is 9 lbs. Pull is 14".
