This is a beautiful well made custom rifle in the Moravian/Bethlehem PA styling.
Having a brass patchbox would date this gun to the 1770-1780 period.
The stock is a piece of moderately figured curly maple. The lock is a Chamber's
Siler style.
Mounts are brass and have very well executed engraving and a satin finish. The barrel
38" swamped Rice in .54 caliber with some "aging" to the finish. The overall gun
is finished "as new".
Overall a well made and beautiful gun. The gun is new and unfired.
The rifle balances and holds very well.
Weight is 8 lbs. Pull is 13¾".
