This is a nice Lancaster style longrifle by Ken Moors. It is very high quality
as with all of Ken's work. This rifle is new and unfired.
This rifle is stocked in a piece of
very nice curly maple that that is stained to a nice medium brown. The hardware is
brass and has a patina. The patchbox is a commercial one that has been nicely
engraved. A polishing would make it look better. The barrel is a Rice,
42" long swamped in
.54 caliber. The bore is in new condition. The lock is a Chamber's
Early Ketland style and there is no touch hole liner as Ken cones the inside of
the hole as the originals were done.
The steel parts have an aged grey color. Overall it is in excellent condition. Inlets are tight and well done.
The carving is well done and crisp. Holds
and balances very nicely.
Weight is 8 lbs. 9 oz. Pull is 13¾".
