Lancaster Rifle

39" Barrel in .40 caliber

This is a nice Lancaster style rifle that was made from one of the early Isaac Haines kits.

It is lightly used and in excellent condition. The lock has been snapped but I don't think the gun has been fired. It is stocked in curly maple stained to a medium brown. The barrel is a straight ⅞" across the flats that is 39" long in .40 caliber. I haven't pulled it to check the maker but might be a Green Mountain barrel. The bore is excellent. There is a touch hole liner. The lock is a large Siler flint. It has Davis double set triggers which will fire set or unset. The gun is mounted in brass with a natural patina. Inlets are tight and well done. Overall a nice and well styled rifle.

Weight is 9 lbs. 3 oz.   Pull is 14".
