This is a nice generic longrifle that is like new with very little
frizzen wear. I don't know who made it but it is well made.
It is stocked in a beautiful curly maple stained to a light brown. The patchbox
has a push button on the buttplate and is a Lehigh Valley style with no engraving. The lock is a
Chamber's Golden Age flintlock. The barrel is
a straight 39½" long,
13/16" across the flats in .45 caliber.
I haven't pulled it to check the maker but looks like a Green Mtn. barrel. There is a touch hole liner. The bore is excellent. The
Davis double triggers will
fire set or unset. The gun is mounted in brass which are of a Lancaster style. The steel parts are
dark browned. The inlets are good and styling is very clean. Overall a very nice, well made rifle.
Weight is 8 lbs. 5 oz. Pull is 13¾".
