This is a nice pistol size lock for an early to mid 18th century gun. Lockplate
measures 4⅞ long by ⅞" tall. The parts
are as cast, no screws are included and the mainspring and frizzen spring will
need to be properly hardened and tempered. The frizzen and internals will also
need hardening. There is no internal bridle which is correct for this style. The
five screws needed can be purchased from Chamber's Flintlocks. I suggest 6-40
thread. A good knowledge of lock assembly is recommended.
