Jaeger Rifle

by Nate Stephenson

 31" barrel in .40 caliber

This is a nice little rifle made by Nate Stephenson. It is lightly used and in like new condition.

It is stocked in a very nice piece of figured walnut with raised and incised carving. The lock is a Chamber's English style with nicely done engraving. The barrel is swamped 31" long and in .40 caliber. I haven't pulled the barrel but it is most likely made by Rice Barrels. It has a touch hole liner. The guard, sideplate and buttplate are engraved in a typical English pattern with the boar's head and panoply of arms. The steel parts are all deeply browned. The inlets are very tight and styling is very clean. Overall a very nice, well made rifle.

Weight is 8 lbs. 12 ozs.  Pull is 14½".
