This is a very nice pistol made by Wayne Trout. I have known Wayne for many
years and have watched him improve with each gun he produces.
This pistol is stocked in a
beautifully figured piece of English walnut that that is stained to a nice medium brown. The hardware is
sterling silver that, except for the buttcap, was all made by Wayne. The barrel
is a oct-round Paris and Sons rifled 9½" long in
.54 caliber. There is a touch hole liner. The bore
in excellent condition. The lock is a Chamber's round faced Queen Anne.
The ramrod is ebony with a horn tip.
The steel parts have been polished bright. Overall excellent workmanship. The
carving and engraving is very well executed. Inlets are tight and well done. Holds
and balances very nicely. This gun looks much better than I can photograph.
