Late Virginia Rifle

in .50 caliber

Ken Moors worked with me on making this one and he did most of the engraving. The barrel is hand forged of wrought iron. It is a swamped octagonal and is 42" long. The lock is an L&R Durs Egg. The stock is a very nice piece of figured maple. The mounts are brass with the buttplate, sideplate and guard cast here in the shop. The thimbles and patchbox were fashioned from sheet brass. All steel parts have been aged to a nice grey color. This rifle has a matching pistol to go with it.

Weight is 7 lbs. 8 oz. Length of pull is 13½".
