Lehigh Valley Style Rifle

This rifle is typical of many that were made in the Allentown/Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania. The barrel is a Colrain 42" oct-rd in .58 caliber. It is held in by three wedges and a hook breech and has an interchangeable 20 gauge smoothbore barrel. The stock is walnut with incised carving typical of the area. The lock is by Chambers. The iron mounts and barrel have been aged slightly.
