Virginia Barn Rifle

Round Face Lock and Brass Mounts

This is my version of a nice early Virginia style Barn gun. The barrel is 42" long, swamped in .54 caliber and 1 1/16" across at the breech. The lock is Early Colonial by Chambers. The guard is brass and cast by me from an early Va. rifle. Maple stock with no buttplate or entry thimble. Just a good basic rifle that would have been right at home on a backwoods farm or out on the frontier.

Weight is 7¾ lbs. Pull is 13¾".
