Here is another version with brass mounts. This one has a 42" long by 7/8" barrel in .50 caliber. The wood and mounts have been slightly "aged". The lock is by Davis. The guard is brass and was cast here in the shop from an late Va. rifle. Maple stock with no buttplate or entry thimble. This one has the later style single lock bolt with a brass teardrop plate. Just a good basic rifle that would have been right at home on a backwoods farm or out on the frontier.

Weight is 8¼ lbs. Pull is 13½".
