Early Winchester, Va. School

Circa 1750's

Not very many early upper Virginia Valley guns exist today. This is my rendition of what one may have looked like. There are the typical Winchester, Virginia or Hampshire Co., West Virginia details but still has some Penn. and Western Maryland influences.

This rifle has a 44" barrel in .50 caliber and weighs 8 lbs.

I cast all the brass for this rifle.

This one is similar to the one above but with iron hardware and a 38" barrel in .54 caliber. Weight is 7 ¼ lbs.

The "aging" shows well on this one.
